Grade School 2024 – Weyburn, SK

Grade School is a free event that allows producers to watch in-person grading demonstrations for barley, canola, flax, pulses, and wheat in small groups and learn more about marketing risks and grain storage management.

 

Learn from:

Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) representatives will discuss common grading issues for each crop and the importance of a representative sample. They’ll also discuss the benefits of utilizing programs such as the Harvest Sample Program and Final Quality Determination.

Canadian Malting Barley Technical Centre will discuss non-grading specifications for malt barley, like varietal purity and DON, and the impacts on end-users.

PAMI will provide an overview of proper grain storage and answer common grain drying and bin management questions.
