SaskBarley announces changes to its 2022 Board of Directors

Industry News, News

January 12, 2022 – Saskatoon, SK  The Saskatchewan Barley Development Commission (SaskBarley) announced today that their Board has elected its Chair and Vice-Chair for 2022.

Keith Rueve will serve as Chair of the Board and Matt Enns will serve as Vice-Chair, effective immediately.

Rueve, together with his brother Kent and their families, operates a third-generation farm south of Muenster where they grow barley, wheat and canola.

Enns actively farms in a multi-generational grain operation alongside three other owner-operators near Rosthern, growing canola, wheat, peas and barley. He is also a founder of Maker’s Crafted Malts, Saskatchewan’s only craft malting facility.

There are many new faces on the SaskBarley Board this year. Last fall, three positions on the Board were filled by acclamation after previous Directors Allen Kuhlmann, Brent Johnson and Jason Skotheim termed out of their positions.

New Board members Zenneth Faye (Foam Lake), Cody Glenn (Climax), and Maurice Berry (Carievale) officially joined the Board immediately following Tuesday’s AGM, alongside previously elected Directors Matt Enns of Rosthern, Keith Rueve of Muenster, and Glenn Wright of Vanscoy.
