SaskBarley Announces Results of 2023 Director Election

News

Dec. 5, 2023 (Saskatoon, SK) — SaskBarley is pleased to announce the successful candidates from its 2023 director election. Four candidates competed for three positions on the board. The newly elected directors are: Chad Ferguson of Naicam, Gordon Moellenbeck of Englefeld and Matt Enns of Rosthern.

“Thank you to all the candidates for putting their names forward,” says Keith Rueve, SaskBarley Chair. “We’re pleased to have Matt return to the board and to welcome Chad and Gordon. The background and experience of each director are great assets to SaskBarley as we look to the future.”

A record total of 1,659 votes were cast for eligible candidates, with 742 submitted electronically and 917 through paper ballots.

Directors will assume their roles at the SaskBarley Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon. Industry stakeholders, media representatives and members of the public are welcome to attend the formal introduction of the newly elected directors.
